How are you feeling right now? Well, I am trembling. I have never been at this place before. When we are only a few days away from the last thing that has to happen—the whole world destroyed by God–I have never been here before. Where can you get direction so you know how to feel? So earthquakes could occur around the world for 24 hours? By the end of 24 hours, the whole world will have been destroyed. The purpose of the earthquake is three-fold: it will be enormously destructive as God is destroying the earth. Secondly, the people who died as true believers, they will come out of their tombs with their glorified spiritual bodies and will be caught up to be with Christ. And the rest of the world’s population becomes unconscious? All of the remains of carcasses—the bones–will be thrown out of the grave and the way the Bible describes it, be like dung or manure—because they will be shamed in the eyes of God as a final of consequence of the wrath of God. Those who are in the area where earthquake has occurred—they will be in horrible torment, because of all the horrible things that have happened. On the other hand, those areas where the earthquake has not come, they will be able to view the horror that is going on where the earthquake has already happened. For the unbelievers, the moment they die, they will never again have conscious existence. That is something that churches have never taught. They have never understood. They thought the Bible said they would go to Hell and be punished there forever as a result of their sins. The Bible says that the wages of sin is death, and the word “Hell” is actually a synonym for the grave. Why is God causing this to happen? Because God created mankind in his image and likeness. God has created mankind to serve him, to obey him. But when mankind rebelled against God, they came unto what is openly demanded by the laws of God, which is death. How do you suggest people prepare for Judgment Day? The same way that the people of Nineveh prepared when Jonah came there. Jonah came there and said that in 40 days, God will destroy you. They did three things: Number one, they sat in sack cloth and ashes—they humbled themselves before God. Secondly, they pleaded with God, they begged him that this might not happen. Thirdly, they recognized they were wicked and tried to turn from their sins– they realized God’s wrath was on them because of their sins And then the entire universe ends on Oct 21? The Bible does not give us enough information. God is capable, of course, because he is an infinite God. He created the world with all of his life forms just by speaking. So there is no limitation as to what God can do. You have no doubt that all of this will happen? Right! I have no doubt at all, because I trust implicitly. How do you explain all the other predicted dates that were false? Why is this one so special and legitimate? How come the Pope himself has not commented on this issue? Isn't he suppose to be the right hand man of god?
There has been people that have quit their jobs and left their families to spread the word.... If this rapture doesn't come to pass then what are these people going to do? Wont these people feel like they have been lied to and mistrusted by Camping?

Psalm 90:4 says that F"or a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.", A watch in the night is just a few hours. So, which one is correct? is thousand years equal to 1 day or few hours? So, it is just an analogy to say that GOD is timeless, HE was and is and evermore.

If you need to twist scriptures, you need to question the outcome. Interpretation should never override the plain testimony of scripture. For months, we've also seen "Absolute certainty" that it would be 6pm starting in New Zealand, and that October 21st was a definite pinpointed end of the universe. Now we have physical text right in front of me on this screen that he is changing his story.
Mr. Camping's followers also cannot explain why they believe this unless they parrot HIS responses. Go look in the Bible and TEST what this man is saying!!!!! I am afraid it is a bit more serious than that. This is a very serious prediction because it is global now and both believers and non believers are being effected by it. In revelation 12 it states that the great dragon was cast out and his angels where cast out with him nor was there place found any more in heaven etc. In fact, all these date settings are originated from the theory of pre – rapture which the bible does not state but does indicate a rapture but no one will know of the time. This theory is not of God.
Harold Camping may be right or he may be wrong. The way I see it , it's a 50-50 shot. What I do know is that he wrote a book, "1994", in which he predicted the world was going to end in September of that year. I may still have a copy of it somewhere in the garage. I wonder why he wasn't asked any questions about his previous prediction(s) in the above interview? Whether or not he is correct there is nothing to be done about it except to love one another because you never know what will happen in the future, and the future is always upon us.

I think no man or woman on this earth will know when the end of days is here because its not ment for man kind to know this.It will come when people most likely are not expecting it to happen.

Eligibility for Unemployment benefits vary by state. In my state, it is possible to collect UI if you quit a job for 'good cause'. Quitting a job because I (GOD) told you the world was ending is not good cause. Furthermore, Unemployment is funded by an employer tax, not your tax dollars. The way I see it, if you quit because GOD told you to quit, certainly GOD can help feed you and pay your bills.

This is why all predictions are wrong. The only way someone could be "right" is to predict the end on every day, or make a very "lucky" guess. Then they will be right once. Even a broken clock is right twice per day.
This preacher is dead wrong. Jesus said in Matthew 24:35-36, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. No one knows the day or the hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the father." If no one but God the Father knows the day or the hour of Jesus' second coming and the destruction of the earth, is this man claiming to be God? He says he "...trust[s] the Bible implicitly." They will feel as they should, betrayed. No one knows the hour nor the day, and Jehovah Witness's have taught mankind's common grave was hell for years. Eevn Jesus taught that. To clarify, Jehovah's witnesses believe there is no physical Hell. When you die, they say that's it–you're nonexistant. God must "remember" you on the day of ressurection to bring you back to a perfect but PHYSICAL body. Nonbelievers get nonexistence. The worst that can happen to you is you just cease to be. Jesus did not teach that (check out his parable about the rich man and the beggar man).
The witnesses are another cult started by a single man who thought himself the mouthpiece for God, sharing salvation only with people who followed HIM and not God Himself. There's tons of prophecies that never came true, revision of their church history, and not only did they take the 144,000 thing out of context, they use their own bible translation (but never released a list of names of those who worked on it) to do their teaching!

Don't preach so hard about "the 10 commandments" as that is a bit ignorant of the biblical history of the old testament. There were actually over 600 commandments given originally to Moses according to the oral history, but they were widdled down to just 10 mentioned for final inclusion in the current form of the Christian bible.
Besides all that if it were true why would Harold and his bunch not tell people how to get saved before then? They make all this fuss about May 21st and be prepared but don't mention how to be prepared. Where is the message that Jesus saves? It is not there because Camping and his crew are not Christian and could care less about the message of salvation through the Lord Jesus. His timeline from May 21st through October leaves no room for armageddon nor for the 1,000 year reign of Jesus. The man and his followers can only be pitied.

I am very sad for those who have been following this lie that the rapture will occur on May 21st. Even if they attempt to explain away “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven nor the Son, but only the Father” (Mark 13:32), they cannot explain away that most every Christian, theologian, scholar, and prophet from the first Century until the Nineteenth Century all believed that the church would go through the Great Tribulation and not escape through some secret rapture that would leave the world paralyzed. I pray that they will take a moment and read my book, “Final Warning” because the hour of is His judgment has come.

I pray that the unsaved are not pushed away from the true message of salvation by the predictions of a "want to be prophet", i.e. Harold Camping.
Harold Camping's logic and math are "fuzzy" and there is no greater chance of the rapture occurring on May 21, 2011 than any other day. Harold Camping is basing his "prophecy" on the exact day God created the earth, the exact day of the great flood of Noah (dates which he does not know) and "fuzzy" math such as a day = 1,000 years in certain parts of his "calculations" and days = days in other parts of his "calculations".
Harold Camping is saying Jesus lied in Matthew 24:36 and related scripture. I sincerely hope that the unsaved will put their faith in the words of Jesus Christ and not the words of Harold Camping.

1994, but part of the 1994 prediction was Judgement day would be in 2011. He read some verses that made him think God would shorten the time down to 1994 from 2011.

As I sit here and read all the previous postings, whether it was scripture, conversation or comments, I think that we all need to remember that it is not up us to judge as there is only one who can cast judgement. I pray each night that God forgives all our sins and watches over us and I hope that you will pray too.

I live in Chicago, wouldn't say I'm a prophet but I've been having some of the weirdest dream and I just gave up smoking out of no where. I just wanted 2 share a few dreams with u all 1 dream there were planes flying over my head, 2 dream there was a huge wave of water that came from lake michgan it swallowed downtown Chicago everything was falling apart, 3 dream was about a large earthquake that came out of nowhere. And a dream I had when I was younger was of the sky lighting up in red. I don't know what this all means but I have a crazy way of controlling my dreams it's so weird. I also had a dream that Dallas and Chicago will play in the finals so I don't know I just don't understand what this All means but something is telling me 2 speak up now while I still have a chance.

Well, I for one, am happy that I live in San Francisco right now. First, chances are that all of us San Franciscans will still be around after all this Rapture nonsense, so there will be more room for us. Second, when the world starts coming to an end it will start at the International Date Line and it will take some 20 hours before it hits us, plenty of time to hid under desks and stuff. And third, we already live in an earthquake zone so our buildings are fully reinforced.

That's one evil God Camping believes in. Lordy. God has already predetermined, according to him, before the world was created, who the 2 to 3% of the population would be who would be saved. Nothing anyone can do or say or beseech will change that. There is nothing one can do to be saved. If you have not been chosen, you are out of luck.
So what is the point of God's "wrath"? What's the point of Jesus being sent to save us from our sins, to these people? What's the point in general? Just a cat toying with mice? To create a world where only a fraction will be saved and the rest will watch in horror as the universe is destroyed, a process he says will take five months, that's plain evil.

Its convenient that the Bible was translated from Greek to Latin and then Old English and eventually English; as well as the many other languages of the world....however I find it rather arrogant that the Christian faith continues to "determine" the path of the world. Are there not other faiths out there? People who are unshaken in their faith, their spirituality....I find it horrifying that we as people of the world fail to acknowledge that there are more than one way to see "God", most faiths share a common belief system. If it is indeed the end of the world, what a shame....but if its not is it not a wake up call to all those who profess to be "true" Christians to open their eyes and quit being so hypocritical. I honestly do not know what to believe...I believe in the idea of Christianity and believe that there is a God, but I am having difficulty understanding some simple questions. If this May 21st thing happens, you can be sure it's those in control of technology. The World has come to know too much of their plan. And they must do away with us (Whoever they are). And if the earth is going to be destroyed timeline by timeline, this would prove technology as the culprit. As the Earth must pass over whatever Satellite weapon they're using to cause this. You don't need religion to realize that we are committing species suicide by our pollution and destruction of the planet. I think that most people in the back of their minds know with some cetainty that things are going to get very bad in the near future. Any intelligent person can understand that:
(1) The worlds population continues to rise and our resources are declining. Oil has peaked.
(2) We have built an entire civilization on a non-renewable resource (oil), and failed to seriously consider building alternate, non-polluting energy sources.
(3) We are polluting the planet's air, water, oceans, and lands to the point of ecolgical collapse. [The Gulf oil spill being a classic example, or the killing of forests and phytoplankton to the point were it will affect our oxygen levels, or Climate change resulting from our destructive behaviours].
(4) Our governments are corrupt, controlled by corporate interests, and block serious change. [World-wide, not simply the US].
(5) Our food sources are declining, creating hunger and civil unrest. [World-wide]
(6) The unequal distribution of wealth resulting in a few very rich and massive poverty [World-wide].
(7) Human behaviour itself is working against our survival, i.e., denying problems, prograstination and hope it will go away, and leave it up to a fairy-tale figure to resolve it all in some supernatural way. Above all, a high level of ignorance prevails, maintained by politics and religion.
(8) We are slowly building up to a 3rd world war involving nuclear weapons, which could hasten our destruction.
Is it any wonder that the human species is slowly going insane as it faces the consequences of their behavior. Its all just a matter of time. I'll give us anywhere between 10 to 50 years. You can expect many more doomsday predictions in the near future as people are forced by circustances to acknowledge a dawning reality. My little sister is graduating from college on May 22, and giving a commencement address. I do want very much to see this, and it'd be much easier from a seating perspective if the ceremony doesn't happen on the quake-destroyed ruins of the university, so I hope there's a contingency plan in place. I'd hate to be inconvenienced by the Rapture. Regardless, parking will still likely be a problem, what with all the roads being split open and spewing lava and so forth.
I know the quake is supposed to kill almost everyone, but there's a nice open field next to my house far away from any buildings, so my family can go there and just enjoy the rocking and rolling. After that, assuming the quake travels east to west, we will have time to move further inland to avoid the tsunamis from the following quakes. It should be all good.
Honestly, I'm okay with all this so long as Fenway Park doesn't fall down. If the universe is going to actually end in October, that should give MLB enough time to reschedule games and finish the season before the End, but it won't do the Sox much good if Fenway is a pile of rubble.

Why isn't anyone discussing the theory of Pre – Rapture. In all the discussion on the news and on the web, no one is mentioning this fact. Those who are followers of Camping and men like him are all believers in Pre – Rapture and the Christians who don't believe in this theory is calling Camping a falsehood. But most main stream Christian believe that the rapture will take place sometime during the tribulation while pre – rapture believers believe that they will be spared the tribulation. I think the discussion should be about the evidence in scriptures concerning the theory of Pre -Rapture.

Why do people believe in god?
Does anyone have a scientific reason why they believe? Most people will answer that god cant be explained scientifically. Somw people say that they saw god or heard gods voice, well couples of years ago there was a research by some collage that if you believe something so strong (for example in thuis case its god) you could see what you dont see or hear. We as a human see illusions on what we strongly believe in. After reading my post some strong christian believer might say that god is holy and cant be explained thats a result of education when you were little. there is this example that children believe what they were taught in their early days till they die even if they have been taught by someone they believe in for example scientist or teachers. In early 70s in China their was a chinese revolution which brainwashed many childrens to become a red guard and even after they were told what they were doing was wrog they didnt believe it. The example of chinese red guards is similar to the christian believers. Dont misunderstand me im not cristicizing people who believe in God im just saying my theory. (Although people who are strict christian might think Im wring I dont care).

Camping lost me when he said he's basing his findings on the fact that the Great Flood took place 7,000 years ago. A flood that God used to wipe out humanity because it was so wicked, but kept an old drunk named Noah and his family around because they were so good. Just as I suspected all along, Harold Camping is now starting to backpedal and revise his insistence that Judgment Day will happen in each time zone at 6pm or 1800 local time. While many Christians sincerely look forward to the second coming of Christ, he himself told his disciples in the New Testament that nobody knows the day or hour of his return except God the Father (Matthew 24:36, Mark 13:32). He also warned against false teachers that would crop up claiming that Jesus would come on such-and-such a day or that they have secret knowledge of it (Mark 23:21-23).
To say the least, Mr. Camping has convinced himself the plain words of Jesus, whom he claims to worship and serve, do not apply to him. And neither will any need to apologize or admit error when May 21 comes and goes without such apocalyptic predictions coming true.
If anything, I am pleased to see in the media, on the internet and among people I meet–both Christian and non-Christian–that most people see Mr. Camping as a cult leader who is "three tacos short of a combination plate", to quote Robin Williams. Liberal, conservative or whatever, they see through his confusing and disjointed numerology and reasoning.
Oh well...yet another prediction about "life". So many of us around the world seem to have the answer ? I don't know exactly what the answer is although I am a good person however those who beleive in this comming day will either be right or wrong. I have no problem when someone says that they think that one date or perhaps another date may be Judgment Day. Because it could, and as Christians Jesus instructs us to be prepared all the time for his return! Mr. Camping did alert us to examine our faith.
My problem with Mr. Camping is with his judgment on my soul. He clearly states on his programs that if I don’t believe that May 21, 2011 is Judgment Day, I will NOT be saved.
On that he is wrong!
If May 21 turns out to not be the date (and it could, like any date could), it will also shed light on all of his other false teachings, including the sacraments, his theory on hell, the Trinity of God, that the devil is ruling god’s churches, that Jesus appearance during the New Testament was merely a demonstration of something that happened before God created the world, (sort of like a movie rerun), and his theory and definition of “The Elect.”
Those issues will need to be sorted out beginning next week.
This is stupid. We DON'T know when the world is going to end, we have no clue. The Bible even says "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." We could die today and we don't even know! When we die, we wont even feel it. It will happen in a blink of a eye, and we will open our eyes to the heaven, or to hell! We don't know anything. People who believe that May 21 will be Judgement!!!!! I firmly believe that it won't. I am so glad that people like Camping are so sure of their beliefs, when they are inevitably proven wrong time and time again it makes in my opinion a VERY strong case for Atheism. I am so glad that I am no longer Christian and have found the peace that passes understanding as an Atheist.
